Two thousand drug dealers have been arrested during the first four months of a campaign by Scottish police forces, it was announced today August 13 2001. Police have also seized more than 14 million worth of drugs, including heroin, cocaine and Ecstasy, as part of the Know the Score campaign, which ends on August 31. Heroin accounted for almost 9 million of the total amount of drugs
recovered, while officers also seized 1 million worth of cocaine. Drug squad officers also found 142,000 Ecstasy tablets and 40 kilogrammes of amphetamines. See PA 0430 story SCOTLAND Drugs. PA Handout photo.
